Numan Transport B.V. was started in 1991 by Freek Numan.
In 2024, Numan Transport was acquired by Gerritsen Group B.V.
That Freek Numan wanted to become a truck driver and drive for himself is not surprising. He was infected with the transport virus by his father who arranged his own transport for his potato business with his own trucks.
From an Agri carrier to specialised transport and storage.
Initially, Numan Transport focused on transporting agricultural products in the Benelux. This is still done with trucks suitable for bulk or palletised transport of agricultural products. However, we have developed further and now offer a wide range of options in lifting, transport, projects and storage.
Truck mounted cranes for various lifting tasks in combination with special transport.
In recent years, however, Numan Transport has increasingly focused on factory moves, machine transport and storage and special transports and lifting activities for the construction, maritime and chemical industries. Especially for this purpose, the fleet was expanded to include 3 truck-mounted cranes, with the so-called Fly-Jib standing out in particular. The Fly-Jib crane truck has a reach of some 32 metres and has a load platform of up to 8.30 metres. Incidentally, the crane truck can still be combined with a 10-metre-long trailer, or even a semi-low loader. These truck-mounted crane combinations enable challenging machine transports and installations, company relocations and other special lifting and transport operations quickly and efficiently, even if they are of exceptional dimensions.
Network in Benelux and Europe.
Initially, Numan Transport's working area was limited to the region, but with the advent of truck-mounted cranes, modern tractors and variously equipped trailers, activities are carried out to full satisfaction throughout the Netherlands and Europe. Fortunately, despite its growth, Numan Transport is still a transport company in which personal contact and coordination with the customer, as well as expert and professional execution of the transport and lifting activities, take centre stage.
